Police say Markel Lee, 17, turned himself in with an attorney following Thursday’s shooting and is now facing multiple charges, including first-degree murder.
A 17-year-old high school senior was identified as the victim killed in a mass shooting at the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, La. Police also said that a suspect had been charged with murder in connection with the incident.
The high school senior at Ascension Episcopal planned to attend Sewanee in the fall. She was set to graduate high school in just three weeks.
