A shooting at Mexico’s Teotihuacán pyramids has left at least one person dead and several people injured, Mexico’s security cabinet said Monday.

Teotihuacán is a popular tourist ​and archaeological site ​outside of Mexico City; officials said they will maintain security in the area as they investigate the incident.

Several people were also injured in the incident on Monday at the popular tourist site, say Mexican officials.
