Polls close in Virginia at 7:00 p.m. on April 21. Voters will decide whether lawmakers should be allowed to temporarily redraw the state’s congressional map ahead of the midterms, a proposal that could shift the balance of the state’s House delegation.

Voters in Virginia are deciding whether or not to approve a drastic redestricting effort.

Don Scott, the speaker of the House of Delegates, said in a statement, “Virginia just changed the trajectory of the 2026 midterms.”
