Students at Ascension Episcopal in Lafayette placed flowers on Martha Odom’s designated parking spot Friday, a day after the 17-year-old was killed in a shooting at the Mall of Louisiana food court.
Odom is being remembered by classmates, friends and family as a “joyful presence” who made a lasting impact on those around her.
A spokesperson said the school is “heartbroken by the news that some of our students were involved in a serious off-campus incident.”
